Trek Logs ๐Ÿ––

Why do this? Why invest so much time rating a franchise dating back 60 years? I don't know, I don't have a good rationalization for it. I guess I'm just a fan that's obsessed with stats. Nerd!

I explain my rating system in more detail in this section.

Top 5 Positive Deltas

Top 5 Negative Deltas

These were originally rated on a 1 - 10 that is preferred by other sites, but it is my preference to have less granularity in ratings. To me a 3/5 is a more reasonable "average" episode rating than a 6/10 somehow. So these ratings are conversions to 1-5 scale. The goal is to have 3 be average, and equal granularity on the low end and high end.

I also rate all of these on a 1 - 3 scale (A, B, x), which is easier to parse for new viewers looking for info on what episodes to spend time watching.

  • A: Peak Trek. These are must-watch episodes for someone new to the franchise.
  • B: If you're deep diving but want to skip the junk, watch these as well.
  • x: The misses, or fillers, or ones that did not age well at all. Skip these unless you're a completionist like me.
